Objective

The purpose of this course is to enable students to become safe operators of a Rotating Telehandler.

Prerequisites

  • Valid Fall Protection certification

  • Valid Telehandler certification

  • Valid Rigging Basics certification

Topics Covered

Rotating Telehandlers are versatile units that can perform the roles of many pieces of conventional equipment. Due to their unique functionality, specialized training is required for safe and effective operation. Students will cover the following topics:

  • Safety regulations and standards

  • Rotating telehandler fundamentals

  • Safe operating techniques

  • Safe load handling techniques

  • Utilization of all functions of the equipment (truss boom functions, rotating functions, etc.)

Length Of Course

16 hours (2 days).
